Great professor. This was one of the most interesting classes I took on campus. I will admit that some of the reading is a little loftier than other 100-level courses, but she explains well in lecture, and she gives very clear instructions for assignments. Very interesting class--I didn't know gender was such a complex idea. Wouldn't call it an easy A, but if you show a genuine interest and effort through your papers and participation, you'll get a good grade. You do have to go to lecture to keep up, but it's interesting stuff.Rate My Professors ↗

Soc 131 could be a great class, except for Dr. Levy. She is new to being a professor, so maybe it is inexperience, but she comes across as very pompous. Extremely detailed pop quizzes. Note outlines are either too detailed or not detailed enough. Won't take a class of her again. But maybe this is all inexperience, maybe she'll improve...Rate My Professors ↗
