About this rating

Raw average: 3.50/5 from 12 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

PSYCH 450
Quality 2/5Difficulty 3/5
Dense, boring, choppy lectures. She uses questions and examples to explain material rather than explaining concepts thoroughly. Lecture slides are hard to follow. Attendance is required. Discussion posts are graded really harshly IMO. DIrections unclear and makes it difficult to receive full points on assignments and exams.

PSYCH 450
Quality 2/5Difficulty 4/5
Really did not enjoy her lectures. Super slow talker and takes very long pauses making it hard to be engaged with the content. There were never past exams, exam reviews, or anything clarifying what was actually on the exam. Says a lot of words but doesn't get to the point. Many readings. Only uses examples and questions during lecture to teach.

PSYCH 225
Quality 5/5Difficulty 3/5
Dr. Bennett is an amazing professor. Well organized, and understanding of students' time and what is demanded of them. She made the course manageable and allowed many extensions for students who asked for them. While the IRP project was hard, she broke it up into chunks so that it was a process, so that we weren't tasked with the work all at once.

PSYCH 225
Quality 4/5Difficulty 3/5
Professor Bennett was nice and you could tell she cared a lot about her students. She was accessible outside of class and flexible with due dates, which was helpful. Lectures can be repetitive of the textbook and the IRP isn't fun, but she broke it up into manageable chunks. The class starts off easy, but gets more fast-paced in the last month.

PSYCH 225
Quality 4/5Difficulty 4/5
Although the lectures were a little dry and repetitive, Prof. Bennett was a very nice and accomodating teacher. She allowed extensions if students showed concern and was pretty accessible outside of class. The IRP was definitely not fun, but she made it somewhat manageable.
