About this rating

Raw average: 3.07/5 from 29 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

I loved Aaron's class. A lot of people don't understand how pedantic film creation and analysis can be, but Aaron taught well while making sure it wasn't lethally boring.

I loved Aaron. I always looked forward to his lectures and found him to be inspiring. His passion for filmmaking really comes through in his lectures. This class made me look at film in a completely new way.

Aaron is a great professor in my opinion and it sucks to see so many bad reviews about him :( It's a hard course geared towards com arts majors, so if this is something where (like me) you are trying to gain knowledge in a field that you love, you'll enjoy this course. However, I will agree video projects are scattered and kind of busywork.

I don't know if Aaron is technically a professor but that is beside the point. This class is pretty difficult, but that's more because of your TA than Aaron. Sure, some of the things he says are a little strange, but I found myself enjoying his lectures as much as any others.

Aaron is a passionate instructor who really cares about the material, education, and his students. The projects are a fair bit of work, but I really enjoyed taking 355. If you have the option, take this class during the summer, but if you take it during the school year, definitely go into office hours and really get to know him and your TA!

This really could be an online lecture with labs. I aced the final but wouldve received a higher if attendance wasnt a factor.
