Topics include limitations of population-based approaches to establishing dietary guidelines, hurdles to developing biomarkers for determining individual nutritional status, the impact of genetics, epigenetics, the microbiome, diet interactions, and other factors on nutritional and metabolic variability among people, and the ways in which precision nutrition can revolutionize how nutrition recommendations are devised and delivered to the public.
