Rather solid professor in my opinion: grades and lectures fairly, test are mostly just taken out of the homework etc etc. The class is difficult and the materials can feel very abstract and unintuitive, but this is just the nature of an college Abstract Algebra class.Rate My Professors ↗

Amazing lecturer! Covers all material, and explains it in a clear fashion. Since the class pace is somewhat quick, I would recommend using the textbook (you can get it free online) so you can read the material/ lesson beforehand and keep up; his lectures will also make more sense. Prof. Yang is a great lecturer and it is clear he has a very deep understanding of the subject. Although he can make errors sometimes, his explanation of the subject matter is usually crystal clear. He responds to emails extremely quickly and kindly compared to other professors. Excellent professor overall!Rate My Professors ↗
I did not appreciate the only available office hours being on Monday mornings. He went pretty fast during lecture but I suppose he did have lots of content to cover. He was also a very generous grader and provided very helpful practice tests for the exams. Overall a very tough course that made his lectures hard to follow but maybe that's on me.Rate My Professors ↗
