This class was unnecessarily difficult. Pan is super kind hearted and truly cares for his students, but grading is unclear, lectures are confusing, and discussion sections are more confusing than anything else. I enjoyed Pan as a person, but his material was far more complex than it needed to be. 5 quizzes, 3 precis, 2 dis boards, 1 final essay.

I enjoyed Pan's lectures. He's a really sweet and funny guy. His class was not structured well though. The discussion sessions were boring and felt like bad lectures. Grading criteria isn't clear and every assignment outside of quizzes is boring and useless. I'd take the prof again but not the TA or the class. Least favorite class this semester.
