Kind and friendly, puts a lot of effort in his lecture notes, but it's entirely mathematical definitions that are hard to understand because he struggles to explain them. Typos in the notes and he can be quiet and hard to understand. Test heavy, 20% 20% 40% on the 3 exams. Gave extra credit 2x in lecture for attending. Quizzes are easy. Use Khan.Rate My Professors ↗

Best math prof I've had at UW. I can't imagine how much time it took him to type up very detailed notes from the textbook, but they help so much. He is very clear and fair, and he is a real gem in a difficult math department.Rate My Professors ↗

This man is an amazing professor! He is organized, he's always willing to answer questions in lecture, and he explains things really well. All of his exams were fair, and he provided review problems that were helpful and relevant to the exams. What could have been a really hard class was made enjoyable by his teaching. Professor Wang is quite possibly the most organized professor I've ever had. All of his notes are typed and well organized, and he follows them perfectly in class. 80% of your grade is exams, but he is super clear on what will be covered. Homework is just for a completion grade and the solutions are posted ahead of time. He makes a hard class easy.Rate My Professors ↗
