Yao Yao is an amazing professor. Unfortunately she decided to leave UW and go to Ga tech (.. But nonetheless, she taught calc 1 and 2 with poise and clarity. 10/10 would recommend.

Very helpful when I asked questions. Makes some mistakes on the board, but loves it when people tell her about the mistakes (very gracious about it). Exams are exactly what you expect. Explains the material very well. Willing to help out when she has the time.

I took the course with power lectures, this resulted in the lectures being quite long. Other than that fact she explains the information in a very interesting and straight forward manner, with many examples. For a class like 222, she was very helpful and her exam averages were better than other professors, exams were consistent among lecturers.

Calc 222 in general is NOT an easy class, but Yao is by far one of the better professors for this course out there. Power lectures were very long but she taught the material fairly well. Honestly, I learned most of the material from my TA but Yao Yao gives lots of examples instead of long proofs which was awesome! Good luck.

Yao Yao is a pretty amazing professor. She has just such a grasp of the material and how to best present it. Lectures can feel pretty long at times and exams are not always the easiest, but the curve is decent and there is plenty of help along the way. A must have professor! (I got an "A")

She is a good lecturer and is very organized. She describes concepts well and the course load isn't terrible. There were these group projects through that were long and didn't help you very much. There was also online homework as well as written homework, which seemed unnecessary. But overall, a really good professor.
