She's supportive and gives 24 hour extensions on all assignments. Homework load is light, but her standards for analysis are higher than any class I've had. Participation counts for a lot. prof fecu was friendly and gave multiple chances to revise for better grades. the quizzes are so easy, literally one-word answers to questions like how did x character die? we studied films, stories, and music videos. she does have high expectations for analysis but gives a ton of feedbackRate My Professors ↗
If she doesn't agree with you, you are wrong. Her grading of papers is very strict and confusing, making it hard to effectively revise. Grades are also never put into canvas and your letter grade for assignments is just emailed to you. Avoid classes with her.Rate My Professors ↗
She talks nonstop during lectures, making it hard to take useful notes, and her explanations for assignments are unclear. She grades harshly and doesn't update grades in Canvas all semester. Horrible Canvas layout, expects you to read 200page books a week, kind of unwelcominging in discussion if she doesnt agree with your opinions she just shuts them down as wrong, horriblly tough grader on 2(two) assignments all semester, she treats it like shes teaching 9th grade english, never put grades in the canvas even after the grading deadlineRate My Professors ↗
I really liked Dr. Fecu. The course material was thought-provoking and made for interesting discussion. She's a really interesting person too, young but very respectable. I liked the class atmosphere, it felt friendly. Participation is super important to get a good grade. I wouldn't say she's condescending, but maybe a bit firm in her own beliefs.Rate My Professors ↗
