Tyler is definitely my favorite professor. This is the first time I've ever realized, never so clearly before, that those discussions/topics/assignments/group project are not given just to make things difficult or hurt your GPA, but are carefully designed to be meaningful and helpful.Rate My Professors ↗

Ty is definitely a more reserved professor, but still fun to chat with. Industry legend and knows a lot of things about risk and finance. 655 can be tough if you've only taken Finance 300, but if you are dedicated you can learn a lot. Covariance will be engraved into you.Rate My Professors ↗
Great professor who provides an excellent learning experience. It cannot be stressed enough how much covariance matters!Rate My Professors ↗
Ty does the remarkable and actually makes RMI interesting to learn. One of the best professors I have had in my time at UW. I would highly recommended taking this class.Rate My Professors ↗
Ty is one of the best professors I've had the opportunity to learn from at UW. His research and industry experience mesh really well with the content of the course and he finds a way to make the interconnectedness of finance and risk management (ERM) an engaging topic to approach each class. FIN/RMI double majors should take 655 with Ty!Rate My Professors ↗

Tyler Leverty is highly praised for making risk management engaging and meaningful through industry experience. Reviewers note he is reserved but fun, with assignments designed to be helpful rather than difficult. Some find the course tough without prior finance background, particularly due to covariance concepts.
