The average of the midterm rise from 64 to 71 at the end of the semester. Even given the fact that a lot a lot of Students quit after the midterm, there is no curve on the grades. The workload is way more than 3 credits.Rate My Professors ↗

His lectures are awful. No lecture notes, not organized at all. He leaves a lot of homework and seldom provides the solutions in time. The exam scope he gives is very unclear, with almost everything taught and hundred of problems. He is a very tough grader and nearly 1/3 students in his class flee after the midterm. Avoid him at all costs.Rate My Professors ↗

Prof Yang is nice. Nothing against him personally. Content: 400 pages of Dummit & Foote from Ring (p. 222) to Galois (p. 640), including difficult topics like Module Theory. Workload: 12 weeks of homework with no lecture notes and selected solutions. Difficulty: Exam averages were low (71.55 and 77.14), yet a 90 overall is required for an A.Rate My Professors ↗

Funny professor who wants his students to succeed. You get used to his accent, and it's not too bad. Lectures can be quick, but if you read the assigned weekly readings and attend discussion sessions, you'll be fine. Don't need HS calc to do well but do spend some time with the course precalc review. Just be ready to spend time practicing!!Rate My Professors ↗

Very nice person who clearly knows a lot about math but has absolutely no idea how to explain it. Just talks about mathematical things he thinks is cool instead of teaching the exam material, and has no problem with exam averages consistently being in the low 70's. Projector or computer breaks at least once a lecture as well.Rate My Professors ↗

Very nice, funny guy. Caring as well. As a professor, absolutely not. I have never taken calc, and the way he taught it was like a foreign language. He wrote very fast in lecturers, yet you cant understand his writing. He has a thick accent, and he makes mistakes in lectures all the time. I stopped going cause it was a waste of my time. Dropped it.Rate My Professors ↗
