Bertram was very clear during lecture and was always willing to further clarify concepts. The top hats and in lecture practice problems were very helpful. There were optional textbook readings, but I did not think they were necessary. Exams were fair.Rate My Professors ↗

Much clearer expectations that 103, exams were challenging, but fair. Lecture attendance not required but top hat points make up decent part of grade. Did nor appreciate that he would not post lecture slides with annotations. He also went right into examples and did not explain general concepts sometimesRate My Professors ↗
There's a textbook w/ recommended readings which I've always done because it helps a lot with the pre-class assignments. However, technically it's not mandatory. He's a great teacher who explains things very clearly. The TopHat questions throughout the lec are also very helpful. Very engaging.Rate My Professors ↗
