Lectures were incredible and very in-depth. The class, online summer 2020, had a lot of work in the four weeks, often I did 6+ hours of lectures and note taking Tests were fair, the q's were taken from the practice questions at the end of each lecture and the readings that the essay q's were based on were interesting He knows a lot and teaches wellRate My Professors ↗
There's a reason he sends students a disclaimer a week before class begins. Read it. If you think he's kidding - he's not. If you can't commit, drop. This course maintains a HEAVY load. At a min. 3 hours of reading/lectures per day. Only 2 grades: midterm and final. The lectures are pull your hair out boring but the content is interesting.Rate My Professors ↗
I took his summer class and it is a lot of work. However, this class made me a better writer and the material is quite interesting. I applaud him for fitting so much info into 3 weeks plus adding a lot of info on Asian immigration where most classes disregard that region!Rate My Professors ↗
Great class. Although most of the material relating to immigration was from the European standpoint and African Americans during the Civil Rights Movement. He gives you all of the questions for both multiple choice and essay parts of the exam beforehand, and you can use your notes. Impossible not to get an A if you put in the smallest amount of effort. Really interesting material, too!Rate My Professors ↗
