Prof. Mulder clearly is very invested in Roman history and culture, and created an interesting juxtaposition between modern pop-culture and the reality of that era of history. Her lectures were entertaining, though required attendance, but offered a lot of opportunity to discuss with her on the finer details of such a broad subject.Rate My Professors ↗
Attempts to extrapolate modern feminism onto Ancient Greece, which I appreciated to an extent, however felt there was not a genuine attempt at cultural relativism (to understand Greeks from their perspective)...it was analyzed primarily through the Anglo-American cultural lens, which seems counterintuitive to what the study of classics should be.Rate My Professors ↗
