Professor Riley has very interesting lectures, but her exams aren't always on the lectures. Her exams are not multiple choice, all free response and incredibly difficult. She was disorganized with assigning readings and homework as well, piling it on at the end the semester. The reading even covers topics not discussed in lecture.Rate My Professors ↗
Overall I really liked Riley as a professor. The class was very interesting, but since you only meet twice a week, you have a lot of reading you have to do. You're also expected to memorize A LOT for the tests, but tests don't necessarily consist of all the material on the study guide. Riley is good at explaining. Lectures aren't bad, she makes them fun. Don't miss this class, it's too hard to catch up. LOTS of reading; the textbook is necessary to pass. She tests you on some things that she doesn't teach (SO READ THE BOOK). Tests? Not bad if you study. She is super nice. DON'T expect grades back anytime soon. Very slow grader.Rate My Professors ↗

She is extremely smart, and the classes are interesting and thorough. The tests are graded reallly fairly but you will have to put in some effort. I felt that if you paid attention in class you would do well as well as reading the readings- but she makes them easy with worksheets. I really enjoyed the class!Rate My Professors ↗
Really a great teacher, I enjoyed going to her class every day, even if it was at 8 am. The tests were fiarly hard, but te extra credit at the end of the term helped.
