Prof Ridgely is one of the most genuinely caring professors I had the pleasure of learning with at UW. She picks interesting readings and clearly knows her material inside and out. I truly felt like I wanted to produce good work just because I cared about showing her that I took her feedback seriously, but was never afraid of getting a bad grade.

Professor Ridgely was incredibly caring and thoughtful. She was truly passionate about the subject she taught and wanted to see her students succeed. She gives very productive feedback, and all of her readings, lectures, and assignments work together well to create a cohesive lesson. Her class gave me a new perspective on the subject.

I loved her. I am not a religious studies major or religious person, but this class was my favorite I've taken so far. It was super interesting and engaging and really made you think. Professor Ridgely is also super sweet and awesome! Take a class by her!

Professor Ridgely was such a gem and this was by far the most interesting class I've taken in college so far! I'm not a religious studies major but I would recommend Professor Ridgely and this class to anyone. It's a small class so discussion is very comfortable and she makes it fun and clear that she wants everyone to do well

Prof. Ridgely is a genuinely caring individual. She personally reaches out to students if she senses something remotely wrong, and she makes discussion/lecture an intriguing time. I would definitely take another one of her classes!
