About this rating

Raw average: 1.00/5 from 4 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

Pop quizzes are unnecessarily hard, lectures are rushed and not helpful, and student questions are often dismissed instead of answered clearly. The class feels stressful because of the constant cold calling and fast pace. It honestly felt like learning was never the priority in this class overall. Would not recommend at all.

Assigns an insane amount of work - 19 page articles to be done in 2 days. Lectures don't cover everything on the slides, she doesn't notify us when she updates canvas/assignments, essentially assume you'll spend 4-6 hours outside of class going over lecture slides, readings, and doing assignments and studying. Easily the worst professor I've had.

Quality 1/5Difficulty 5/5
Gen Bus 250 with Prof. Kent was one of the most frustrating classes I've taken at UW. The course includes four pop quizzes on readings and podcasts, but the questions are often so specific that completing the material is not enough preparation. The content is overwhelming, and the disorganized slides make studying difficult.

Pop quizzes and cold calls during lecture - Thought we left this in high school. Lecture slides are all over the place and extremely hard to follow. Takes semi easy material and makes it difficult and confusing. Her tests are an ego challenge
