Legitimately one of the kindest professors I've ever had who has such a genuine care for her students and the field. Sometimes she words things confusingly on test and homework, but the quality of her lectures and caring nature to her students far outweighs that.
Snej is one of the kindest professors I've had in my undergraduate career. She always made sure to reach out to students regarding mental health, and automatically curved students who were close to the next grade when inputting grades. The exams and homework were extremely easy through her making sure everyone was given formula sheets.
Great professor, I just suck at math and science. There is a final and midterm (online), as well as two group projects and bi-weekly open note quizzes, which you get 3 chances at getting all correct.
she changes grading weight and scale all the time. Homework is nothing like what she teaches as well as the exam. Some of them says she is nice but I don't agree with that at all. All of sudden she changes the cutoff for A higher in the last minute. It does not seem like she wants people to learn. She cares about grade more than learning.
Prof Stanimirovic is one of the most caring professors that I ever had. She is very kind and sweet and willing to help out all of her students. Her lectures were pretty much copying lecture slides but she always would try to do add stuff to make it interesting. Took time for acknowledging our mental health and was very approachable. Loved her.
Snez is noticeably better than most UW professors. My main two complaints, however, are that her lectures primarily consisted of her copying notes directly from her notebook, skimming over concepts and assuming immediate understanding. Secondly, the homework was quite literally equation scavenger hunts. She is very helpful during office hours.
One of the most supportive and inspirational professors I have had at UW-Madison. Not only does she made the ISM incredibly interesting but also is super supportive
Snez is without a doubt the best professor with a Russian (or Serbian) accent I've ever had. She is incredibly helpful and friendly, to the point that I no longer hate astronomy
Very nice teacher. Homework is physics based most of the time but if you don't understand she's willing to help you with it as is the TA. Final curve for the class is ridiculously easy.
I'm not a science person. At all. She was very nice and very willing to explain concepts and even to discuss grades with you. I guess I liked her, I mean, for, you know, an astronomy professor. She uses a clicker, though. That's annoying.
Very easy class. Just go to all the lectures and you don't need to read the book then. If you need a science credit but worried about difficulty, take this class.
