Hard to understand, annoyingly strict grader, no partial credit. Doesn't explain assumptions made from correlations or lemmas in his proofs during lecture, won't elaborate when asked on them dude sucks

He is a good lecturer but I feel he expects students to understand a lot of implied or underlying concepts, theorems, etc (even from previous classes!) and won't care to explain them in lecture. If you are a good mathematician (and good with proofs) then he will be good for you, but for those that require an extra push I do not recommend

honestly, while simon marshall may come off as rude, i can tel he means well and cares for his students. His style of teaching personally didn't work with me, but I ended up doing well in the class anyway

Same complaints as all other reviews. In addition he was very unhelpful during office hours, would only tell students what part of their answer was wrong and then move onto the next student. He also grades very strictly: his midterms are graded with partial credit however he will take points off for something wrong.
