This was a refreshing break from my other law classes. Sig did a great job arranging the course around guest lectures as we explored the foundations of liberal democratic theory and linked it to law. I got a lot out of our discussions on markets, tech, and academia. He has a fun demeanor and the class vibe corresponded to that.Rate My Professors ↗
Class was really hard but I actually wanted to share that as a student with an alternative background the vibe that sig created in the classroom was truly welcoming and unlike anything I've experienced in other legal studies classes, you can really see it in his eyes that he loves to engage with all viewpointsRate My Professors ↗
Sig is a very, very good professor. His classroom was also very rigorous and ambitious. Two things. First: he doesn't use powerpoint, which I realize now makes sense given the skills he is teaching. He posts notes after class. Second, you perform better in his class overall than on his exams.Rate My Professors ↗
A very tough class, but Sig's lecturing makes it worth it. It's helpful for anyone interested in the law, humanities, or just thinking about the world from a series of perspectives (laugh track). Sig's class was definitely difficult and my the grading guidelines were not very clear but it was also an incredibly fascinating class and Sig's lectures really made me think of things in a different light.
