He was working on his PhD in linguistics and his knowledge of this topic makes his teaching high quality. He was very understanding and attentive to students and genuinely cared for our class. He is the best language professor that I have had. He was very sympathetic and he understood language is not supposed to be taught in a restrictive way. He created an environment in which students felt comfortable making mistakes. He made learning one of the hardest languages simpler, and less stressful.
