About this rating

Raw average: 3.46/5 from 13 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

To be honest, this was one of the most disorganized classes I've taken at UW so far, which I normally struggle with, but the professor is very kind; she is clearly very knowledgeable and lectures reflect that, and the class was also graded very lightly (in my experience). There's a lot of readings—you do not need to do them to get an A.

Prof Jedd is a solid professor. She does lack some instruction for the exams, but they were pretty easy for someone who didn't prioritize the class (like at all). The TAs were chill, but expected a lot from the students, which is a bit backwards. TONS of reading. Choose to do it or don't, it doesn't really affect you (I never did).

Sarah doesn't even teach the class and she only grades the speeches, which are recorded. The TAs do the rest of the work.

CA 370 was a very simple and easy course that I would totally recommend! The grading criteria was very clear and the class was asynchronous which I always appreciate. Lecture attendance is not mandatory but discussion is. Ali Rushevics is one of my favorite TA's I've ever had. She was so lovely and kind, definitely take this course!

Jedd was an inconsistent professor. There was not much guidance on assignments, most of her material is taken from other people, and she talked way too much about herself and her kids.

I will start by saying that jedd is an entertaining lecturer, however the curriculum and logistics were not great. I like feminism, but I found the class boring. So much reading, but I never did any of it and still did fine. Instructions for the final paper were minimal and confusing. The outline given by jedd and my TA were vastly different.
