About this rating

Raw average: 4.19/5 from 99 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

Ron is the coolest professor Ive had and I'm not even an animal science major. His class is extremely informative and the negative comments are exaggerating. He clearly stated when something was important vs fun-fact. That said, don't expect to get 100% without attending, but if you attend, chat with him a bit, youll do very well. He loves chicken

I LOVE Ron Kean. He is genuinely such a nice guy who teaches. His slides always ended off with a silly pic that tied into what we were learning about. The content isnt bad and the slides arent info heavy, but when we dont have to remember something for an exam he tells us and gives us clear instructions on what to study. Love Ron. Hes the best.

Quality 5/5Difficulty 2/5
Ron is great, the lectures are easy to follow, there is little homework and the tests are easy if you put in a little effort to study. Attendance is not mandatory but is available for extra credit HOWEVER, the slides posted doesn't contain all the info tested so attending class is recommended.

Ron is probably one of my favorite professors in the animal science department. He's so passionate about what he teaches and makes it clear what you need to know! Attending this class was always the highlight of my week.

Was recommended to take the class as a non-stem major, seemed easy at first but exams are lecture heavy so you need to go to every lecture and pay close attention if you want to do well. Probably easier for someone interested in animal science. Didn't love Ron as a professor I but respect his passion for animals.
