About this rating

Raw average: 2.33/5 from 9 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

This prof sucks. His logical skills are nonexistent, yet he prides himself on his "tight reasoning". His tests are absolutely insufferable; the questions cannot be understood, most have multiple correct or defensible answers, others have none, and very few actually test the students' knowledge. His teaching prowess is well below that of a toddler.

Great guy, really helpful if you make an effort. He is really passionate about his subect. He doesn't use the book a lot but rather he lectures and then uses the book as supplement.

A complete waste of time. Tests are a random assortment of questions, and studying can not help you. He likes to do the 0-9 scantron sheet so that just in case you can actually narrow down his random thoughts, you will probably get it wrong anyway. Given the choice between taking this class again and getting gonorrhea, I'd flip a coin.

I would have rather been taught by Helen Keller. Test questions are completely random. His lectures consist of mainly diagrams from the book with no other explanations. You'll only enjoy the labs if you like getting confused and frustrated. TAs are almost as lost as the students. Your time would be better spent watching women play basketball.

His teaching method is unique, applies "hands on" approach in the class room. Feels very chaotic at times. Exams are tricky, and poorly worded at times. He tries to emphasize "analyzing the question" which he interprets as make wordy exams. He's a nice guy, and hard to hate, but can be very frustrating.

Does not use the book. Lectures are strictly what he thinks are important. Very subjective, which makes lectures mandatory and exams very difficult. There is no true science to his teaching methods, its purely what he believes to be correct. His lectures are more of an open discussion. Very difficult to learn anything from this guy.
