Prof Mullins is clearly passionate and knowledgable. She recognizes that students aren't math majors so only teaches what she thinks you actually need. Expect weekly quizzes, assignments, and in-class activities with four tests. Do the work and pay attention in class and you can definitely get the A. In class exercises, 4 exams, iclicker, weekly homework due before you learn the chapter, a lot of work but a passionate teacher. Makes a big deal out of name cards for some reason and loves sound effects in her powerpoints. She has a booklet with all the slides in it, which is incredibly helpful and nice. Prof Mullins is clearly experienced and she knows the best way to teach the course. As someone who didn't take Stats in high school, the material was challenging at times. The class was dull, hard and time consuming but Mullins was a solid professor. If you put the required effort (5-6 hrs per week) in, you will get an A or B.Rate My Professors ↗
I really liked her. She loves the subject she's teaching and she genuinely wants her students to do well. She also tries to make a very boring subject somewhat fun in class. Lectures are long, however, and can be rough to sit through.Rate My Professors ↗
Lectures are painfully boring and filled with disrespectful b. school students. If I could go back and do it over, I would take this online. Prof. Mullins goes out of her way to make this class and these topics moderately entertaining for her students (90% bros), and it just comes off as unhelpful and painfully annoying.
