If you want to learn a lot of about conceptual macroeconomics, as well as, spend a lot of time learning how to apply it to real life I recommend this course.

I took global economics with Paolo. Hardest core class I've taken at Stern. On the problem sets, we were expected to download data apply formulas (and extremely hard algebra and derivates) without any practice in class. There are too many lecture slides. There are too many formulas. Most of the lecture is not relevant and is just food for thought.

Every class material being in the files tab in Canvas is certainly indicative of taking this with Paolo. Sure, it'll get the job done, but I know there was better way to have done it.

ECON 302 was not to me especially difficult in terms of content, but taking it with Martellini could certainly give one that impression. Class averages on the 3 tests only cracked 60% once (at 60.4), which led to a very generous curve at the end (75 for an A). This was likely due to a few factors, mainly boring lectures and bad study materials.
