Very kind professor! Though the grammar exercises we did in class seemed tedious at the moment, I can still recall many of the activities we did.Rate My Professors ↗

I don't think Professor El Nossery is a bad teacher, but she is not very good at clearly communicating expectations. When you have questions outside of class, she either does not email back or emails back with a response that does not make much sense. She also does not give much time to prepare for tests or essays which makes the class much harder.Rate My Professors ↗
Nevine was a great professor who knew her content well. Her grading of written assignments was light and she offered lots of feedback. I would definitely recommend Nevine for any French class, just make sure to participate in class!Rate My Professors ↗
I took Fre285 Fall 23 and loved it! I thought Nevine was a great professor who really understood the readings and films and lectured about them in a way that helped me understand. There were a lot of writing assignments but they were beneficial and she always gave super great detailed feedback- fair grading on writing assignments imo also.Rate My Professors ↗
Nevine is a very nice woman but definitely assigns a lot of homework. There was a homework assignment practically every class, some which included watching long movies or reading confusing books. However, she is very knowledgable and has good analysis on the books. There were two papers & midterm & final. Keep up with the work and you'll do well.Rate My Professors ↗
Somewhat different because I took her class while we were both abroad in Paris. Her character and personality is great! Super funny and caring person. Her papers and exams were very reasonable and incorporated both readings and lecture material. Not all readings are required though. The class was "Representation of Islam in French Culture/Politics"Rate My Professors ↗
