Not much was done in lecture, a lot of the grade is based on just completion of homework. There aren't any tests. She is a good and engaging lecturer who cares about the material. She brings in a guest lecturer each week and they were all decent. Overall a good experience.Rate My Professors ↗

I loved class with Dr. Shields. She didn't try to make the class any harder than it needed to be, and also was very clear on what was expected of assignments with many reminders of when things were due. No quizzes or exams, which made the class very low-stress. Very accessible outside of class and really wants her students to do well!Rate My Professors ↗

This class was an intro class and Dr. Shields knew it. She knew students were time consumed with classes like calc, chem, and physics, so she kept it simple. Reading assignments were the majority of the work. Lectures were entertaining and guest speakers were frequent. Highly recommend.Rate My Professors ↗
