About this rating

Raw average: 4.50/5 from 2 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

Quality 5/5Difficulty 2/5
I loved Professor Besbris! His lectures were interesting and engaging, and you can tell he knows a lot about the subject. Weekly quizzes on lecture material, readings, and two larger group research projects make up the class, as well as self-reported lecture attendance. I learned a lot in this class and Max is definitely a professor I'd take again.

Quality 4/5Difficulty 2/5
Prof Besbris lectures with clarity and structure. Can get a little dry sometimes, but on the whole useful and mostly engaging. Big assignments require effort, but are graded considerately. He runs through quiz content in class. Might be useful to take stats beforehand though as projects require it. He cancels lectures during project week- helps!
