Math 421 is not easy, but his style is clear and straight forward. The weekly HW is harder than exam, and the exam is comparably fine for me. He will reply email pretty fast, very good professor, lectures are pretty clear. He is the only Prof I recommend even when it turns to online due to COVID, pretty good prof.Rate My Professors ↗

Professor Schrecker is the best professor Ive had at Madison. He talks fast but is always willing to stop and answer questions. He responds to emails faster than anyone and gives great feedback. Homework and tests are very straightforward and fair.Rate My Professors ↗

He speaks so fast that you can never follow him. Many of us are still coping notes from the blackboard, but he already begins a new topic. Also, he does not explain things that clear. I found many contradictions of his theorem and examples, and I had to spend extra time asking him or classmates.Rate My Professors ↗

This is a tough class, so he has to go fast in class to cover all the material, but he fully explains the concept behind each proof, and will take pauses for questions. He's patient/understanding & v helpful in office hrs. He also typed up notes for the ENTIRE semester to help us study, and has a soothing British accent. Def my fave math prof at UW
