About this rating

Raw average: 2.38/5 from 16 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

No office hours. Answer your questions by email only in less than 15 words. Essay questions in exams. All you need to do is memorize.

Nice guy, but you can tell he is just taking it easy on doing his job. Participation graded, but only goes over complex Python code in class no one understands and doesn't explain it. Tests are almost every week with essay questions given beforehand, but you teach yourself the concepts from Textbook and most aren't even in it. Don't learn anything.

Worst class I have taken at the b school. The McGraw hill homework coupled with the python notebooks in class make for a horrible combo. The exams are equally bad, for they are memorized essays. Nothing is learned, only temporarily remembered to regurgitate in a test you know the questions to ahead of time.

Only showed up to lectures for participation credit. Otherwise, I am on my computer doing other work, same as everybody else. Learned nothing from him. Not a good teacher. The class is pretty easy though as you can't be surprised on the midterms, he gives all the questions all you have to do is memorize the answers. This class is a joke

Quality 1/5Difficulty 5/5
Most useless class I've taken. Every lecture goes through Google CoLab notebooks and python coding that is difficult to follow and also not taught explicitly. I didn't sign up for a coding class, I'm not interested in that. For exams, he gives you the questions before but it isn't as nice as it sounds because you have to teach yourself everything.

The whole lecture is going over Python code instead of teaching anything. Because nothing is taught, students are forced to try to teach themselves the test concepts through the textbook (though a majority of the questions cannot even be answered with the book). Exams every 2 weeks (graded harshly), despite nothing being taught in class.
