Lydia was a very tough grader for tests. You literally had to have the exact words she wanted to get points. Class was way more work than any of my higher level classes. The material was interesting mostly but opposing views were never considered. I kind of felt like Lydia just was condescending and rude in her lecturesRate My Professors ↗
took a 1 credit seminar with her and oh man the amount of homework and reading she assigns for a 1 credit class is absurd. there's more homework in this class than some 3 credit courses i've taken. she's not a very warm person either. Lydia is very passionate about the material covered. That being said, she also sees things very black and white. Does not really see the other side of things. Class is "mandatory" because she gives you pop quizzes nearly everyday. She's unapproachable and doesn't explain things in a helpful manner. Reads off of slides. Exams are nothing like the practice questions. Content is semi-interesting but it makes it hard to enjoy it when the professor conveys it in confusing way. This class is eye opening. Three exams and a presentation. Discussion sections are mandatory. Read the book/articles and pay attention to the lecture material and you should do well in the class. I recommend taking this class! Only downside to Professor Zepeda is she seems unapproachable and sort of rude.Rate My Professors ↗
