Luke is probably the worst professor I've had at college. Lectures were dull, confusing, and he frequently made mistakes and would mumble through the material. On three out of the four tests, there was material that was literally never covered in lecture or discussion. The only saving grace was my TA, so hope for a great one if you have Luke.Rate My Professors ↗
No. Just no. Luke seems like a genuinely nice guy, and is available for help, but taking his class will decimate any chance you had at learning mechanics. Homework and discussion problems are simple, exam problems are impossible. He doesn't seem to care about the discrepancy, or teaching in general. Avoid at all costs! The lectures were confusing and didn't help me understand the material. The book was also unhelpful. The exams for this class were extremely difficult and were not similar to example problems in class or during discussion. While Luke's heart seems in the right place, I would not recommend this professor to others.Rate My Professors ↗
The textbook is very hard if trying to read them through; Mostly it explain how to get the formulas, but not how to use them. For the professor, he mainly explain 1,how to get the formula shortly 2, use more (and difficult)examples; but still not enough. Then in the discussion we do the problems. His lectures are sometimes hard to follow, but if you ask him to slow down he will take the time to explain more in-depth. I highly recommend going in to office hours. He is really helpful one-on-one.Rate My Professors ↗
If you are a bio type major or have basic calc knowledge you are in for your worst nightmare. Expects you 2 know in depth calc w/o teaching it and your grade is completely dependent on it. Lectures don't (do anything) prep you for exams/HW. If you are not a math or engineering major, you are in for a miserable time. Avoid. I can't stress it enoughRate My Professors ↗
