About this rating

Raw average: 3.83/5 from 42 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

He was a good professor, made lecture interesting but also taught pretty well. Some of the last topics seemed a little less well explained. No attendance for class, but yes for labs. Easy work, but it grows and by the end of the semester there is a lot of it. Class is an easy A if you try, but you will spend awhile on the assignments.

Great professor who breaks down concepts well and helps you learn while coding alongside him in lecture. Weekly projects make up a big part of your grade, but there are a lot of resources available to make sure you get 100% on every one. Labs were mandatory but mostly unhelpful.

Lectures are not mandatory, but can be helpful to attend; Louis is an above average lecturer, and lectures are engaging. Labs are mandatory, but don't help learning. Projects are how most of learning is done. Weekly quizzes and exams are mostly easy, but can be annoying to solve.

Good lecturer, funny guy who broke down concepts in easy to understand blocks. The projects took a ton of time and the exams were pretty difficult, but overall a very interesting class.

Nice person and good lecturer. Tests are really heavy, but maybe its cs537's tradition since I found Shivaram's exams are also difficult.

Most of the course Settings are disgusting, but here you can enjoy the 5fz super long quiz, the midterm exam with 65 multiple-choice questions in one and a half hours, and vague exam answers
