one of my favorite professors of all time! incredibly clear format with an emphasis on participation and discussion. you will succeed as long as you care at least a little bit.

She is a great teacher and very knowledgeable. I had her for first and second semester Swedish and she is the best professor I have ever had. She got to know all her students well and cared deeply for each and every one.

Liina-Ly is a phenomenal instructor. I had her for SCANDST 111 (first semester Swedish) and I could not ask for a better introductory language teacher. That being said, there is a lot to be learned in this class, and it requires you to be present everyday or you will miss important things. I would definitely recommend Liina-Ly and this course.

I love Dr. Roos. She is one of the best professors I've had at UW. She is witty, intelligent, and she really cares about your success in her class. LOTS of films, so be prepared to watch movies outside of class.

Liina-ly is such a great person and cares about her students. Swedish was fun with her, but be prepared to do lots of textbook/workbook activities as usual.

Liina-Ly is the best professor I have had at college. She is extremely intelligent and well-spoken. Her course was well-structured, discussion was fruitful, and grading was fair. Easy to get an A, but still very engaging. She assigns a lot of films, as they are a special interest of hers. I remember more from this class than any others in college.
