Online lectures are outdated and dull. Focus on the readings instead, the lectures basically repeat them verbatim. Not an engaging class. You'll pass, though.Rate My Professors ↗

My largest complaint was with the final assignment. When I received the grade on my final project (20+ pages) it was evident that only the final page was graded. I lost points for mistakes on the assignment that I didn't make. I emailed the professor a month ago asking for clarification and I still have not received a response.Rate My Professors ↗
AVOID Sunny for 651. Bone-dry lectures. Terrible communication. Discussions full of experienced librarians being totally lost. Sunny ignores questions about contradictory info & acts like things are self-evident. She makes up insane search strategies, e.g. associating "cattle" with cats. Sunny clearly has no recent LIS experience. Awful; run away.Rate My Professors ↗
Sunny is a great professor. You end up learning a lot after you finish her assignments & they never feel unnecessary. She cares about you understanding the material and loves answering questions in class. Gave us a couple of weeks off for holidays & catching up on assignments as well. If she is being unclear, she happily clarifies if you ask herRate My Professors ↗
Awful communication in this course. She tends to really overcomplicate assignment directions and then get mad when students either misconstrue the assignment or "make it too complicated" (her words). She's very direct and can be super harsh when students ask for help, meetings with her were always very intimidating.Rate My Professors ↗
She is knowledgeable, organized, and helpful. Her course covered quite complex stuff totally new to us, but at the end of the semester, I was pleasantly surprised to find out how much I had learned and enjoyed it. I did not expect this because the course was known to be tough, but now I am a convert. Whatever she did worked!Rate My Professors ↗
