Professor Yata had terrible lectures that often made the material much more confusing than it really was. Tests were basically the same as previous ones. I read the textbook and skipped all lectures and that helped me a lot.

Great lecture slides, will 100% prepare you for the exams. Lectures maybe a little boring but that's because Econometrics can often be boring itself. Professor accessible outside of class during office hours. Do past papers.

Content is not easy, but econometrics itself is by no means a simple topic. Exams are predictable, so I would say it's overall a fair game. Handouts will be really helpful for making mind maps. Prof.Yata is actually knowledgeable and can answers many questions which beyond our scope. Accessible and willing to help outside of class.

Slides were very helpful and usually had all the information you'd need to succeed in the class (once Kohei released the annotated version of slides, that is). I appreciated that he included modern economic research in the slides, it made the material more engaging. Practice exams were incredibly similar to the exams we received. Overall good prof.
