Kathy is an amazing professor and person. Her work with public opinion is deeply interesting, and her discussion-based model of the class works out great. I cannot recommend taking a class or professor more than I'd recommend PS515 and Kathy!

I had Professor Cramer for Public Opinion 515 and she was an absolute delight! All of her lectures were well organized and used an open-table format, so you got to discuss your thoughts with other students in great detail. Attendance wasn't mandatory, but her lectures were truly interesting so I'd highly recommend showing up

Professor Cramer is great. The class was very discussion focused in a good way, you get to know your classmates and I think it increases the depth of the material. It is extremely obvious that she cares deeply about her students and wants to help everyone succeed; not only is she a great professor but I think I can easily say she is a great person.

Kathy genuinely cares about all her students and is pretty accommodating. There's a lot to read for the class, but we were able to interpret all of the resources how we wanted to. It's pretty discussion heavy but not in a bad way, so you get to talk to other students in the class (so everyone gets pretty close).

Incredible class, incredible professor - knows her stuff and is thrilled to explain it. You're graded on small writing assignments across the semester - never too difficult, and she and the TAs give great feedback on them. If you need an advanced polisci credit it doesn't get much better than this (even if you don't need the credit, its worth it).

By far my favorite professor and class. PS 515 is so engaging and fun. Highly recommend!

This has been one of my favorite classes on campus! Professor Cramer was an amazing instructor and the topics were so interesting to discuss. The class is discussion based, and I think this is one of the few times where it has added to the course experience! Would highly recommend to anyone interested.

Professor Cramer is amazing! She's dedicated to seeing her students and the university succeed. Her lectures present the material in an engaging way and takes time to explain complicated concepts. The best professor I've ever had at UW Madison, I'd highly recommend any class you're able to take with her!

Professor Cramer is one of the best, if not the best, professors I've had at UW-Madison. She knows a lot about public opinion and cares so much about the wellbeing of her students. Poli Sci 515 is a discussion-based lecture format. You get to know your classmates well and make new connections. I highly recommend this class and Professor Cramer!

Prof. Cramer is one of the best professors I've had at UW. She is so caring about her students and her passion for what she teaches translates into her lectures. Take any class you can with her, she is awesome!

Cramer is a gem and this class was life changing. Caring, passionate about what she teaches, gives extensions, gets to know everyone's names. Public Opinion was discussion based, read an excerpt and post a journal entry about it and discuss it in class. It sets you up for the papers so the papers are not hard and only 4, no other exams.

Kathy Cramer is the absolute best! PS 515 was extremely engaging, collaborative, and in-depth thanks to her awesome classes that seamlessly mixed group discussion with lecturing. The class has a good amount of writing (3 journals per week, 4 papers over the semester), but there are no exams.

Prof. Wash is a rarity for political science professors, she is fun and keeps students engaged in class by allowing them to think for themselves. PS425 is highly recommended.

Professor Walsh rocks. She entirely interested in her students and the topics she teaches, which makes sitting though a power lecture very easy. The serive learning part of this course asked a lot of you but was totally work it!

Prof Walsh is one of the best I've had at Madison. She is beyond personable and approachable and her class isn't that hard if you show up and listen. I would recommend actually doing some of the reading, which is the most work required for this class. Walsh made me want to show up for her class

Public Opinion is a fascinating class for any political science major. Professor Walsh makes this class very interesting by in speakers and using anecdotes frequently. 1 midterm, 1 paper, 1 final exam. She is a very helpful and encouraging teacher who truly likes to see her students exceed. More classes should be like this at UW-Madison.

Amazing teacher and person. Inspires students to take an interest in service.

Political Communications is hands down one of the best classes and professors at madison!

Great teacher!
