I was very excited to take this class, but it was a major disappointment. The class barely covered any content and lectures were just rambles. I did not learn much at all and the final project was extremely strict. The grade we received did not reflect our work. Although he tries to be nice and accommodating at times, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Very disorganized class structure. No clear notes or flow of topic and did not even tell us what would be on the final nor did he provide any materials causing anxiety and distress to a lot of students.

I don't understand the negativity on these reviews. Karl's an amazing professor. He genuinely cares and he just wants you to try and do your best. He's so open to giving extra help if needed. Attendance is mandatory for lectures, but you can miss 1. He's a little disorganized on canvas, but clear in class. Gives fair deadlines. I highly recommend!!

Karl cares. Don't expect to learn a whole lot of concrete material. The course is more about introducing you to the real-world application of statistical modeling at a very basic level.
