The professor is very smart and invested in his work. Very proof heavy lectures with very few examples to support learning. Fast-paced and, in all honesty, unbelievably boring. I stopped showing up mid-semester because I fell asleep in class. Studying from the book for the final was a nightmare. Ended with my first and last B. DON'T RECOMMEND.Rate My Professors ↗
Algebra II is extremely hard class that covers a bunch of materials, but Prof Mundinger managed to cover every subject very clearly. The midterm is poorly deigned because nobody had enough time, but he ended up offering to replace it with the final, which is perfect in difficulty. Very good professor for first UW Madison Math class. Really prepared me for the 500 level classes like 521, 541, and 551. It was a very information-dense class and we went quickly at times, but he published written lecture notes which you could look at after class. All in all, amazing professor who loves his craft. Mundinger is ehhh. His lectures are really sophisticated and he speaks very professionally. The lectures and homeworks are all in-depth proof based but the tests have some computational problems (which he doesn't directly teach). His grading is very rigorous. Overall, if you a hardcore lin alg course, go with him, otherwise, go with someone else.Rate My Professors ↗
This was a difficult class, but I learned a lot! Dr. Mundinger responded quickly to questions on Piazza, and his lecture notes were very helpful. The homeworks were proof-based, which was a struggle, but the expectations on how to write proofs were clear, and Dr. Mundinger helped me improve my proofs in office hours.Rate My Professors ↗
An awesome professor; clearly passionate. Lectures were a dry at times but that could be because the curriculum was basic. He spiced things up at times with the linear algebra cookbook. He was very clear and the exams were well-constructed. However, for those genuinely passionate about math, I'd recommend 341 over this class, as it was quite basic.Rate My Professors ↗
