So unorganized, TAs did everything and grading was different between all of the TAs. They also graded unbelievably hard for what this class was.

Really good teacher who respects students very much. HW is not much, she makes lectures very intriguing and also makes you feel free at classes.

Jolanda is super nice and makes learning honestly a joy. Understanding and caring, makes me want to take her again. I also wasn't in her class and she was so nice about transferring over into it.

Jolanda is an excellent professor. She makes you engage with the class on a whole new level. She created the best classroom environment I have been in because she makes everyone comfortable speaking. It is a Lit class so you have to read but she chooses good texts so they're enjoyable.

I don't enjoy professors often, nut Prof. Taylor is one of the good ones. She is so passionate about Dutch culture, literature, and history; but what made her amazing is feeling human in her class. I felt more than a number like I usually do and I felt important. She's a wonderful professor who inspires interest even if you hate literature. 10/10

GERMAN 245
Quality 5/5Difficulty 2/5
Jolanda was one of my favorite professors at UW. She is extremely passionate about the Dutch culture. There are weekly readings for this class, but they are all listed in the syllabus so you can get ahead. Come to class prepared as it is largely discussion-based and it is much more interesting if you can follow the conversation & participate!
