He's not a very good professor. Yes, he's very smart, and yes, if you pay attention you will learn a ton. But he's egotistical and nitpicky and uses 1000 words to say something that only needed 45. For some fun, count how many times he says "fact of the matter," "is the following" and "what i would call" each lecture. Study hard and you'll do fineRate My Professors ↗

He speaks so fast and so much that it is difficult to follow. It is almost useless to attend lecture because you don't learn anything. I taught myself everything via Wikipedia.Rate My Professors ↗

Well, this has been by far the worst class I've ever taken at this school. He asks for very specific answers on exams that he may have mumbled once in class. It's very hard to distinguish what is important or what is just a "fun fact" about speech production. I truly feel for anyone who has to take this class in the future...Rate My Professors ↗

talks too fast. hw assignments are so ridiculous and have nothing to do with what you're learning in class. they're all math based.Rate My Professors ↗

Reading reviews made me a terrified to take his class, but it really isn't that bad. Yes, it's a lot of information, but it's straightforward - know what he gives you, and you'll do well. As long as you work hard and start studying early in advance, you'll be fine. I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't cause me more trouble as a gateway course.Rate My Professors ↗

Although I have not liked any of his other classes, I really enjoyed 371. As long as you write in the same style as the examples he gives you, you should be fine. Definitely not an easy class but it is a great way to end the com dis major. Don't be afraid to take 371 with him!Rate My Professors ↗
