About this rating

Raw average: 4.75/5 from 4 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

PHYSICS 115
Quality 5/5Difficulty 1/5
Really interesting class, good for a broad overview of energy and climate and the math/physics is pretty easy to pick up. He keeps it engaging with demos and relating content to the real world, easy to get feedback from too.

Quality 5/5Difficulty 1/5
Prof. Sarff taught the material (although somewhat easy) in way so that everyone was interested and understanding. If you're looking to learn in depth, perhaps you should consider a harder class, but for people who want a general, more broad knowledge, this is an excellent option. It is relaxed yet useful.

Super great teacher, material was a bit heavy towards end but super nice guy, willing to work with you!

PHYSICS 115
Quality 4/5Difficulty 3/5
I took this class for the science credit, and it turned out that the class was very maths heavy. The class covered a variety of topics but were not deeply discussed. Professor Sarff did a good job in explaining terms and concepts, and also provided a lot of interesting physical facts. Not hard if you do the homework and go to the discussion.
