John was very unorganized and unorthodox in his teaching methods. He doesnt really use canvas, and his website is very unorganized and hard to follow. He had this group quiz idealogy to start the sem, where we would be graded by our random groups table, but couldnt participate together as a group, but all of our scores would be averaged together!

Great professor and enjoyed going to class. Teaches the concepts for the exams, but use the practice exams to get a better idea on what will be on the midterm and final.

john was my favorite professor! I took every single class he taught. he is super kind, and made special accommodations for me when a family member had passed. His office hours were super helpful, I always left feeling much more confident in the material!

The lecture materials are not hard, and lectures are recorded. The workload is not large compared to CS programming courses. However, you need to review the materials carefully. Some of his exam problems require a bit of intelligence. The curve is very generous.
