Easiest class ever. Finished with 100+%. English isn't her first language so some words are tough to hear, but overall not bad. Anyone giving her a bad review just didn't attend lecture or discussion because we practically went over test problems. More than fair grader and gives good feedback online. If you're already pretty good at math, you might be able to handle Professor Hu's class. But if you're struggling and need extra help, I would suggest looking elsewhere. Professor Hu's math class has been challenging. She teaches in a monotone and detached manner, often with her head down as she writes on her iPad. She doesn't seem to engage with the students or show much interest in our learning. It feels like we're being taught by a substitute teacher, and this has been the case throughout the entire semester.Rate My Professors ↗
Dr. Hu is very knowledgeable in her field and can answer most questions satisfactorily, but it is often best to wait for office hours instead. In addition, her accent is very strong, which makes it challenging to understand the material. Has excellent lecture notes which are easy to understand and uploaded to canvas, accessible outside of class, 1 homework assignment every week which complements her lecture material and is an excellent tool to study for exams, always looking for ways to improve her class.Rate My Professors ↗
Jiuhua is overall a great professor. Exams are straightforward, if you go to lecture and do the homework getting an A isn't very hard. She is accessible outside of class and Piazza questions are answered promptly. Definitely recommend taking her for 320Rate My Professors ↗
