About this rating

Raw average: 4.82/5 from 11 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

PHYSICS 106
Quality 5/5Difficulty 1/5
Great guy and a great class. Dry and witty, he makes physics fun for EVERYONE, not just STEM majors. Hands out extra credit like it is free candy. Tests can be hard but he lets you bring in a sheet and make-ups to earn back full points. If you're doing this for a QRB or science credit, I couldn't recommend Jim and this class enough!

Super friendly, not very tech-savvy. He gives full point test corrections after each exam and lots of extra credit. Easiest three credits you'll ever take.

Prof. Reardon was amazing and really cares about the students. Lecture attendance is taken 1 day a week and there are copious amounts of extra credit available for participation, and optional extra assignments. We were allowed a sheet of paper to bring into each exam and plenty of time in class to ask questions and complete work! 10/10

Such a good class, I actually looked forward to it and did a good job of spreading out the time in class to not make it boring.

Lectures mostly consist of him throwing things on the board with little explanation. He only takes attendance on Fridays but homework is due on Wednesdays so you have to be in class for that too. Tests are a little difficult but he gives extra credit worksheets after exams to get missed points back which is nice. Homework packets are kind of long.
