She is the worst professor I have had at WashU. She is uncaring, and the way she speaks to us in class and writes her announcements (aggressive & rude: and she deleted them later!!!) demonstrates a poor attitude. Her lectures are biased and you must write papers according to her opinions to pass (lack of free thought). Don't take her classes!!!Rate My Professors ↗
Although she is passionate about what she teaches, she relies heavily on opinion and over-simplifying or ignoring opposing viewpoints. This makes it incredibly hard to write essays against those viewpoints. She also expects us to know more than what is taught in class or in the readings.Rate My Professors ↗
Jill is the nicest TA i've ever had in a sociology class, took 140 with her in my first semester as the only international student in the section and she encouraged me so much, literally teared me up when she commented "good job, I think your english is very good" in MY language under my assignment submission. Jill is easily one of my favorite professors at UW. She's so accommodating and understanding of students' needs, and she gets that we're all stressed from other classes. She'll guide you through topics but independent work gets you the most out of the class. I've taken two classes with her, and I see her as a friend as well as a professor. 10/10Rate My Professors ↗

She knows a lot about Sociology and you will learn a lot, but if you are in any way a conservative, keep your mouth shut. Bashes the Trump family any opportunity she can along with anti-vaxxers. Very closed minded politically and made me feel uncomfortable to ask questions. If you have the exact same opinions of her, you will enjoy the class.Rate My Professors ↗
