I loved this class so much! I recommend to everyone. Prof loves what she does and you can tell. Her lectures are insightful and passionate. They're not mandatory but if you don't go, the exams will be extremely difficult. You dissect really though provoking ideas but prof Todorovic is the perfect guide/Virgil for it. GO TO THE LECTURES

The lectures are very important for the tests since there are certain key words or ideas that they want in your answers. I really enjoyed every lecture, and I took notes in my book, so I had no problems with exams.

Jelena is very invested in her students' success and offers plenty of opportunities to help you understand the material. Grades on participation in lecture/discussion. Cares about student well-being. Little to no out-of-class work. Tests on discussed materials contained in slides, which are confusing at times. Answers questions clearly.

Jelena is a joy to be around. She is a complete MASTER at Italian literature and she cares about her students. She can be hard to reach sometimes, but she always provides solid feedback on your writing assignments. I look forward to talking other courses with her in the future. Her Italian is beautiful and knows how to teach. Strongly recommended.
