About this rating

Raw average: 2.12/5 from 25 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

Rosay is a great guy. One of the greatest mathematicians in analysis of his time. Wish he was still teaching

This prof designs his test to fool kids. I took 7 practice exams leading up to the 2nd exam and got a 48%. This class has been described by his TAs as "the hardest math class you will ever take" and "worse than calc 211". He has an entertaining sense of humor, but his accent makes learning difficult. He focuses TOO MUCH on fundamentals.

I have always enjoyed math-especially trig & have been pretty good at it. I took this class thinking that it would be an easy A. Far from... I struggled more with this 2 credit class than any of my other classes. I blatantly failed all 4 test & wound up with a C, only because the class averages were all under 50%.

Well trig/math was simple for me until Rosay taught it, honestly I would rather take CALC! He is a nice person though, its just his exams are ridiculously hard even when you study hard core, and that is what your grade is based on.

This class is verrrrry difficult and overwhelming at first. I thought it would be a simple trig class but it ended up being pretty stressful! I would strongly recommend going in to office hours because it helps a LOT!

MATH 113

This course consists of exam scores only. VERY difficult exams. Homework that is assigned (for no points)is not very helpful for exam content. Difficult to prepare and predict exam questions. There is a curve, but I don't know how generous it is. Avoid taking this class with Rosay.
