David is a chill, cool professor that is very underrated. He grades very easy and also makes class fun with his sense of humor. He enjoys teaching and is very passionate about it. You do have to go to class in order to participate in discussions but there are almost no out of class assignments. Take it.Rate My Professors ↗

He is a very tough professor, in that he pushes you to think critically and abstractly. However, he is very understanding when his students do not understand a concept and he will change his plans for class based on the needs of the students.Rate My Professors ↗
He is a pretty rude person in general, but I just learned to ignore it. The grading was very difficult at first, but it got easier as the class went on. There were three large paper portfolios to do that were not super time consuming. He has very set ideas of what is right or wrong. This class was about the level of difficulty that I think it should be. There were three large portfolio assignments, a few short quizzes about readings, and a participation grade. He was a very tough grader for the first assignment, but as his expectations got more clear the grading was easier for the second two. He is not a bad professor to take!Rate My Professors ↗
The worst teacher I have ever had at UW-Madison. He is incredibly biased and strives to be a superior intellectual and constantly belittles his students. He is unfit to teach students at the college level. This class is all about catering to the politics and beliefs of Jason Rocha. Avoid him at all costs.
